Let me share to you, guys what I have talked about in our dawn watch earlier. Practically, it was based on the current book which I am reading: Philip Yancey’s Disappointment with God.

Of course, I believe that each one of us came to a point when we asked God for something and he gave an “otherwise” result – that is if He ever gave a result.

How do we react then? Do we say God is unfair for not giving us that something simple we’ve been asking for when all the while we’ve been the “good” little kiddos we could ever be? Now we should learn a thing or two from Joseph.

If there would be anyone who has all the right to come to God and demand something from him, it had to be this young kid full (literally and figuratively) of dreams. What has he done to suffer, a) Being sold by his siblings to be a servant to the Egyptians, b) Be thrown to jail for doing something which he has not really done (i.e. done something bad to Potiphar’s wife), and c) Be forgotten by a friend whom he helped inside the jail?

If we would take a look at Joseph’s life, we can see that he walked his path straight and remained faithful to the Lord all throughout. Did God hid from Joseph all through his life?

Some of us might have experienced what Joseph went through; been the goody-two-shoes all your life yet it seems like it’s no good after all. But like what happened in Joseph’s life, God wants us to put our trust in Him – not on what we have done or who we are. And even if we don’t see Him, God is working big time behind the scenes – like any production crew in your very own biography. He wants us to grow in our faith, day by day, one level to another. God allows trials to come our way to show us that in spite these trials, He is there to pick us up.

There are still more rocks on the path we are journeying but in encountering each of these why not remember what Joseph told his brothers,

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

Genesis 50:20

During one of our dull moments in work, me and my 2 office friends had some conversation over a conference in YM (Well, we’re one of the privileged whose YM and other network sites weren’t blocked in our PCs.) So anyway, they’re trying to make me intriga over several things… But what is there to make intriga about? Nothing. Haha! Then the topic shifted to my blogging.

These two people who’s got nothing to do asked me where do I derive inspiration from blogging as they themselves are not bloggers. Well, I don’t really consider myself a “blogger(1)” per se; I’m just a “blogger(2)” who’s full of oh-so-random-! thoughts that she wants to record through means which are convenient – and I don’t bring my journal all the time (As I’m a Dory sometimes that I might misplace it). So there’s an internet connection and I suddenly have something in mind and voila! A blog entry.

What I wrote in the previous paragraph is not the answer to their question, though. What inspires me?  I then searched myself and asked her that question. Of course, the answer I had for these two friends weren’t enough as they did some targeting selection schemes on me. Haha! But what I told them is the real reason of why I have these entries.

Sometimes, there are several things that you encounter which you will usually take for granted. Then one day comes and you’ll realize its relevance in your life; in your being; in your existence. No matter how senseless it appears to others, no matter how shallow or how extremely difficult it is for them to understand; the important thing is how these situations speak to us. And wouldn’t you want these things to linger on by keeping a record?

The words I wrote above are not what I exactly told my two friends but it’s somewhat the gist of what I said. And they told me “…False star.” Hahaha!
